Police arrest two suspects together with weapons in Madaya Township

The terrorist groups CRPH and NUG transport the weapons from the armed insurgent groups to accelerate the acts of terrorism, and the security forces tightened the security and conducted the security measures for the public safety as the members received the information that those terrorist groups would commit violence and bombing attacks across the nation to mark Four Eights Day.
The security forces inspected the vehicle driven by Aung Ko Min form Tangataung Village together with Arkar Phyo in Panya Village of Madaya Township yesterday and seized the firearms including 60 K-22 guns, 11,000 bullets, 110 magazines, 85 Energa grenades, 80 hand grenades, 60 sets of equipment and 21 slings.
According to the confession of the suspects, the arms and ammunition were transported via Udein Village near the Ayeyawady river from the armed insurgent groups under the arrangement of of NLD member Min Min (former MP of Mandalay Region Hluttaw) to launch attack in any township/village of Sagaing Region. Other seven suspects including Byar Gyi, Daung Lan and Thiha took the arms to them.
Although the insurgents attempted to launch attacks to affect the lives of public, the officials could stop them in time due to timely exposing arms, ammunition and grenades.
The suspects will face severe action under Counter-Terrorism Law and other relevant laws, and the security forces will keep conducting further investigations.—MNA
