Police seized K20 billion worth of Ice (methamphetamines) in Mogok Township.
The combined team consisting of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force stopped the six-wheeler Nissan vehicle heading from Monglon to Mogok to examine at the Lalgyi combined checkpoint in Mogok Township of Mandalay Region on 1 March. Meanwhile, driver Wai Thu ran away and the police arrested bus conductor Aye Naing (aka) Soe Myint Naing together with one tonne of Ice (methamphetamines) worth K20 billion. According to the inspection, they transported the drugs from Shan State (North) to Mandalay. The suspect was charged under the law and the police conducted further investigation. — MNA
