Preparedness measures underway in various states, regions

The Department of Fire Services under the Ministry of Home Affairs is accelerating its preparedness activities for relief, rescue and first-aid operations in the event of a storm in various states and regions.
Preparedness activities such as rehearsal exercises are being conducted at fire brigades in Moegaung, Mohnyin PutaO townships and Mohnyin district in Kachin State; Kawthoung township, Pulaw township in Taninthayi Region, Kawa, Thanetpin townships in Bago Region and Yenangyoung township in Magway Region, Aungmyaythazan township in Mandalay Region, Mudon township in Mon State, Pauktaw, Rathedaung, Ponnagyun townships in Rakhine State, Dagon Myothit (North) township in Yangon Region and Pathein, Labutta townships in Ayeyawady Region. People are informed and notified of well-preparedness measures against any possible incoming storm. — MNA/TS
