Prime Ministers of Laos, Bhutan send congratulatory messages to State Counsellor

The following are congratulatory messages from Prime Ministers of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the Kingdom of Bhutan sent to State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, for victory in the General Election held on 8 November 2020.

On behalf of the Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and on my own behalf, I have a great pleasure to convey my warmest congratulations to Your Excellency for the landslide victory of the National League for Democracy Party in the general election held on 8 November 2020.
I am convinced that under Your Excellency’s wise leadership and rich experience, the Myanmar Government will have a greater success in the efforts to defeat and control the outbreak of COVID-19 in Myanmar as well as to revive its economy in order to bring about more progress and prosperity to the Myanmar people in the years to come. I am pleased to continue working closely with Your Excellency to further strengthen the friendly relations and good cooperation between Laos and Myanmar for mutual benefits of the peoples of our two nations.
May I take this opportunity to wish Your Excellency good health, happiness and greater success in your noble tasks.

The victory of Your Excellency and your party is a reflection of the dynamic leadership that you have provided to the NLD and of the confidence that the people of your constituency and Myanmar have in Your Excellency.
I wish Your Excellency continued success in discharging the important duties as the Chairperson of the NLD for the benefit of all people of Myanmar.
Your Excellency, our two countries share longstanding history of warm and cordial relations and I look forward to further strengthening these close ties of friendship and cooperation.
