Public talk on Youth Sector All Round Development held in Yangon

A public talk titled “Youth Sector All Round Development” was held in Yangon United Football Club in Hline Township, Yangon Region yesterday afternoon and more than a thousand students and interested persons attended the talk.
(Yangon) Region Hluttaw representative Daw Khine Mar Htay, writer Ma Moe Myay, actress Academy Thet Mon Myint, singer Khine Mye Tha, singer Lil’Z, businessman U Nyein Chan (Zaw Group) and Zaw Zaw (Mandalay, library) spoke about literature, art and their life experience and answered to the questions raised by the audience.
Region Hluttaw representative Daw Khine Mar Htay said “I spoke under the title of youth and politics. Youth need to be interested in politics. They must not lose sight of politics. I spoke about all being connected to politics. It is good that these talks are being held. Young people will learn a lot from these talks just like they read lots of books. They will have wider views and will become the gems that benefit the country.”
The public talk was held jointly by Hluttaw representatives, township administrative department and township information and public relation department with an aim to increase the knowledge, reading rates and all round development of youth in Hline Township it is learnt.
Maung Thiha Naung from Hline Twonship No. 1 Basic Education Middle School said “I learn a lot from this talk. I learn more about things that I already know as well as things that I didn’t know. The main thing I learnt from this talk is that I need to read more. Only through reading can there be change and development in everything.”
The day’s public talk was attended by Hluttaw representatives, departmental officials, officials from civil society organisations, students and interested persons totaling more than a thousand. Before the public talk starts performance were made by underage rape information group and singers from Ein Met Sone Ya (Where dreams met) program.
Such public talks were being held in townships of Yangon Region and were learnt to be filled with interested persons. — Zaw Gyi (Panita)
