Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat received Mr Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, at the Hluttaw Building in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
At the meeting, they exchanged views and discussed promoting cooperation between the two parliaments for strengthening existing friendship between the two countries, promoting trade, investment and economic cooperation and for further close cooperation for success of democratic, politics and economic reforms.
Afterwards, U T Khun Myat and Vietnamese PM Mr Nguyen Xuan Phuc and party posed for documentary photo.
The meeting was also attended by Union Minister for Education Dr Myo Thein Gyi, chairmen of Pyithu Hluttaw committees U Khin Maung Win, U Aung Min, U Zaw Thein, Dr San Shwe Win, U Khin Aye and U Win Thein Zaw, Ambassador of Myanmar to Viet Nam U Kyaw Soe Win and officials of Pyithu Hluttaw Office while the Vietnamese PM was accompanied by Ambassador of Viet Nam to Myanmar Dr Luan Thuy Duong. — MNA
