Heavy rains with strong wind yesterday destroyed houses in two wards and two village tracts in Myanaung Township.
A total of 37 people: 22 males and 15 females were affected by the unseasonal rains and strong wind as roofs of six houses were collapsed and three houses were destroyed and no human or animal casualties were reported, according to the Myanaung Township General Administration Department.
The unseasonal rains and strong winds started around 3 pm and the strong winds torn roofs of houses in No 1 and No 2 Wards of Kanaung, Myanaung Township. In turn, another two wooden houses with corrugated iron roof were collapsed as trees fell on them in Myanaung Township.
Next, heavy rains plus strong wind in Nwet Gyi Theik Village, Kywe Tae Kone Village Tract, Myanaung Township blew off roofs and destroyed houses.
