Rakhine regional govt provides assistance in cash and kind to IDPs in Minbya township

Officials from the Rakhine government provided cash assistance and various kinds of consumer goods to IDPs from seven village-tracts, nine villages and two downtown wards in Minbya township, who have temporarily stayed in IDPs camps and have to return to their homes, at the Yarmaung hall in Minbya township yesterday morning.
At the ceremony, station commander Col Kyaw Min Tun gave away K294 million provided by the Rakhine State government for 588 households, the chairman of MraukU district administration body K58.8 million, the township administration body K21.087 million and the staff officer of MraukU District Disaster Management Department 588 jerrycans including 17 kinds of consumer goods to the representatives of IDPs.
Afterwards, station commander Col Kyaw Min Tun encouraged the IDPs and the members of the Tatmadaw and Myanmar Police Force and government employees transported the IDPs to their homes. — Thein Nu Aung (IPRD)/MKKS
