A ceremony to deliver natural disaster prevention aid to the local populace was held in U Uttama Hall in Buthidaung Township, Maungtaw District in Rakhine State yesterday evening.
Rakhine State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu said that he wanted to find out the villagers’ opinion on the government’s measures taken for regional development during the new government’s one-year period. And he discussed matters relating to future activities.
Local residents also submitted social, economic, transport and development requirements in their township. Then, officials from the state government and relevant departments responded.
After the meeting, the Rakhine State Chief Minister and officials delivered natural disaster-prevention aid to Township Natural Disaster Prevention Committee Chairman Township Administrator U Kyaw Min Tun and Vice Chairman Township Police Commander Pol-Maj Thaung Ngwe. U Kyaw Min Tun and U Thaung Ngwe spoke words of appreciation.
