Ranong-Kawthoung Friendship Tourism Festival to be held in full swing

In addition to local foods and aquatic products, food and consumer goods from Thailand will be sold at the festival.
The Taninthayi Region government office announced that the Ranong-Kawthoung Friendship Tourism Festival will come to life at the 3rd-mile People’s Square in Kawthoung Township, Taninthayi Region. In an effort to boost tourism between Myanmar and Thailand, the Ranong-Kawthoung Friendship Tourism Festival is scheduled to take place from 4 to 8 February for five days at the 3rd-mile People’s Square in Kawthoung Township, Taninthayi Region. The event will feature performances by renowned artistes, as per the regional government office.
U Kyaw Lin, Assistant Director from the Taninthayi Region government office, stated, “The Ranong-Kawthoung Friendship Tourism Festival will showcase renowned local delicacies from the picturesque islands in Kawthoung Township. Additionally, various aquatic products, food, and consumer goods from Ranong, Thailand, will be available. Galleries will also highlight the attractions of the beautiful islands in Kawthoung Township, Myanmar.”
Furthermore, the festival will host stalls featuring the products of micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the Taninthayi Region, along with special exhibitions focusing on Myanmar-Thailand friendship. Renowned artistes, including singers Jenny, Yone Lay, D Phyo, and Ki Ki, will entertain the audience with their performances. — ASH/TKO
