Raw gems, jades sales in Kyat to be held in Nay Pyi Taw from 12 to 17 Nov

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, the Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Committee will conduct a sales of raw gems and jades in local Kyat currency at Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw from 12 to 17 November.
Local gem merchants are to submit applications to jade sales work committee from 27 September 2018 to 3 October 2018 for the jade lots they wanted to sell.
Inspection, accepting, basic price valuation, allocation of display areas for gems to be put on sale will be coordinated with the respective gems merchants from 10 to 31 October 2018.
Local gem mining and production companies working under official permission; local licensed finished (cut and polished) gem producers, traders and merchants; registered gem companies and local members of Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association are permitted to attend the sales.
Only buyers licensed or permitted buyers under the Myanmar Gem Law and rules will be allowed to attend the sales. Local gem merchants who want to participate in the sales will have to pay designated deposit and entrance fees.
Starting from 5 November 2018, local gem merchants who want to participate in the sales are urged to contact the responsible officials at gem merchant registration building in Mani Yadana Jade Hall, Nay Pyi Taw. Entry/attending forms for local gem merchants can be downloaded at ministry website www.mining.gov.mm and Myanma Gems Enterprise website www.mge.gov.mm. Online applications and registration can also be made at the website www.mge.gov.mm, On-line Pre-Registration System.
Details about 2018 November local currency sale of raw gems and jades can also be enquired at Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Committee, Myanmar Gems Enterprise head office (Nay Pyi Taw), Myanmar gem museum (Yangon), jade mining department (Lonkin), gem mining department (Mandalay, Mogok, Mong Shu) and Myitkyina, Khamti and Mohnyin based jade mines (offices) according to an announcement made by Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Committee. — MNA
