Holy Buddhist objects will be hoisted atop Eternal Peace Pagoda in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, on full-moon day morning of Tazaungmone which will fall on 11 November.
Together with Buddha consecration ceremony, a golden umbrella will be installed and other relics will be enshrined on top of the pagoda on that day.
Four companies are constructing the pagoda for its timely completion.
U Zaw Myo Htet, the engineer of San Htaik Tan Myanmar Artefacts Group, said, “We have almost completed Myanmar traditional designs at the pagoda. Some floral designs are quite similar to those at Ananda Pagoda in Bagan. However, some of those designs are modified.”
The height of Eternal Peace Pagoda is 108 ft, which is surrounded by 80 small stupas on 306 ft wide platform.
To mark the consecration ceremony, Buddhist monks will perform continuous recitation of Patthana Pali texts from 7 to 9 November.
On the fullmoon day of Tazaungmone, the consecration ceremony will be broadcast live from MRTV, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture have also invited the general public and well-wishers for merit-makings at the ceremony.—MNA
