According to U Saw Jacob Htoo, Minister for Yangon Region Ethnic Affairs, traditional houses of ethnic groups in the National Races Village in Thakayta Township, Yangon Region, are undergoing renovation.
Tenders are invited to maintain the traditional houses of various ethnic groups, such as the Kachin, Kayin, Kayah, Chin, and Rakhine, during this financial year, ensuring they remain sustainable and retain their original style.
The maintenance work will be completed within the specified timeframe and meet quality standards.
The National Races Village showcases the cultures, traditions, and customs of Myanmar’s ethnic groups. It hosts New Year celebrations for these national races each year, fostering unity and friendship among the people. Efforts are also underway to develop the village into a tourist attraction. — ASH/MKKS
