ME announces no more PJ application reservations required starting mid-August

As of 17 August, the reservation system will be stopped, and applicants for renewing PJ passports can come to do it at the Myanmar Embassy’s consular service in person during office days, the Myanmar Embassy to Thailand stated on 13 August.
It said the embassy arranged a token system for seeking appointment dates in person to renew PJ’s passport, whose validity will end on 30 June 2025, every Saturday as of 2 December 2023.
Since the number of applicants for appointment dates has become fewer now, the appointment system will be stopped as of 17 August (Saturday) 2024, and those who want to renew their PJ passport can come in person on office days without needing to make a reservation, it said.
PJ passport renewal service will be provided until 31 July 2025, it said. — MT/ZS/ED
