Road closures planned for 77th Martyrs’ Day ceremony

The Yangon Region Government stated that there will be road closures in Yangon for the 77th Martyrs’ Day ceremony on 19 July.
According to the statement, the Martyr’s Day ceremony will be held at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum located in Bahan township. It is reported that the road closures and detour roads for Western Shwegondine Road, Shwegondine Road, Azarni Road, and U Wisara Road will be planned starting from 4 am until the end of the ceremony on that day.
Similarly, it is known that the Natmauk Road near the Bogyoke Aung San Museum will be closed from Wingaba junction to Phoe Sein junction, the Bogyoke Museum Road will be closed from Ngahtetgyi Phaya Road junction and Saw Maha junction, Bo Cho Road will be detoured from Shwe Kyatyat junction.
Moreover, some roads near the Secretariat Building, where the flag-hoisting ceremony will be held, will be closed from 5 am to 6 pm according to the statement.
Therefore, the Yangon Region government informed drivers of using alternate routes for the Martyrs’ Day ceremony because of the road closures. — TWA/TRKM
