Old students from all classes of the Physics Department of Yangon University paid respect to their teachers at the age of 65 and above on Saturday on the university campus.
Among over 1500 old students majoring in Physics who attended the ceremony were Union Minister for Electric Power U Khin Maung Soe, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Ko Ko Oo, and Parliamentarian U Htay Oo.
Dr Htin Aung, on behalf of the teachers, gave admonition to his pupils and Parliamentarian U Htay Oo spoke words of thanks. After the respect paying ceremony, a dinner was hosted under the Thitpoke Tree, a symbol of Yangon University.
Physics Department of Yangon University was established in 1920.
