Russia holds ASEAN-Russia Ministerial Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation (ARMMSTI) virtually

Union Minister Dr Myo Thein Kyaw virtually joins the ASEAN-Russia Ministerial Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation-ARMMSTI yesterday.

The ASEAN-Russia Ministerial Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation (ARMMSTI) hosted by the Russian Federation was held virtually yesterday and Union Minister Dr Myo Thein Kyaw of the Ministry of Science and Technology joined it from Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting is a key programme of the ASEAN-Russia Science and Technology Cooperation-2022 and can enhance joint research projects and contribute to cooperation between universities, academic schools and research centres in Russia and ASEAN countries. As the year 2023 marks the fifth anniversary of the ASEAN-Russia strategic partnership, the purpose of the ARMMSTI is to promote cooperation in technology and innovation.
At the meeting, participants shared and exchanged knowledge on priority actions in the field of technology and innovation, and discussed plans to collaborate on technology and innovation between Russia and ASEAN countries.
Union Minister Dr Myo Thein Kyaw discussed programmes and activities being carried out in the field of technology and innovation.
Also present at the meeting were Mr Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education, the Russian Federation and representatives, officials from the ASEAN Secretariat, Science, Technology and Innovation Ministers from ASEAN member countries such as Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam, chairpersons of committees and representatives of respective countries. — MNA/CT
