Russian Ambassador calls on MoI Union Minister

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than received the delegation led by Mr Iskander Azizov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar, at the ministry’s office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Both sides cordially discussed and exchanged views on the soonest complete operation of the No 2 Steel Factory (Pangpet) project by the Ministry of Industry and TPE Co Ltd of the Russian Federation, installation of the melting furnace, equipment in oxygen workshops for conducting test runs, the provision of technical support for the operation of the factory, signing the contract framework after the two parties have completed the final discussion and negotiation, and further collaboration with stronger friendship between the two countries. — MNA/TS
