Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla hosted a dinner in honour of Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces General Chalermphon Srisawasdi and wife Madame Budsakorn Srisawasdi and party which attended the 8th High-Level Committee Meeting hosted by Myanmar at Jasmine Ngapali Resort of the Ngapali beach in Thandwe of Rakhine State yesterday evening
The Senior General and wife warmly welcomed the delegation led by the Thai General and party.
The Senior General and wife together with the Thai General and wife released the hot-air balloons to mark the successful completion of the 8th High-Level Committee Meeting between two armed forces.
The Senior General and the Thai General reciprocally extended greetings and had dinner together with those present.
Also present at the dinner were Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, Thai senior military officers and their wives, military attachés of both countries and their wives, and officials.
Before and during the dinner, vocalists and artistes from the Myawady entertainment troupe under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare the Fine Arts Department and the Myanma Radio and Television together with artistes from states presented songs and dances.
After the dinner, fireworks were launched in commemoration of the 8th High-Level Committee Meeting between the two armed forces.
The Senior General and wife, and the Thai General and wife exchanged commemorative gifts. They presented the flower basket and cash awards to artistes and posed for documentary photos. — MNA/ TTA
