In his address, the Senior General said that on the significant occasion, the fifth and the sixth Super Dvora fast patrol crafts, two landing craft utilities and one water tanker were commissioned into service for the Tatmadaw (Navy) as part of adding further strengths. Currently, Tatmadaw (Navy) is able to build missile carrier frigates on its own.
Now, Tatmadaw (Navy) is at the level of Three Dimensional Combat Ready Navy with a prospect to be Adjacent Force Projection Navy/ Regional Navy and then to be Blue Water Navy Ambition. As such, it is necessary to build large and powerful war vessels to have the capability to become Adjacent Force Projection Navy/ Regional Navy. Hence, training must always be given to naval men to have combat power and combat capacity for handling advanced warships so that Tatmadaw (Navy) possesses higher combat power.
As Tatmadaw (Navy) has experience in building Super Dvora crafts, it is necessary to build further war vessels with larger sizes and high capacity. As the sea shapes the future interests of the State, Tatmadaw (Navy) is primarily responsible for protecting the sea. As the diamond jubilee Tatmadaw (Navy) Day falls today, Tatmadaw (Navy) is marching to the ambition with the reliance of the State and Tatmadaw and people thanks to the fine traditions of Tatmadaw members who built war vessels.
