SAC Chairman PM Senior General Min Aung Hlaing pays homage to Shwesandaw Pagoda in Pyay

State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing views round the historical museum of the Shwesandaw Pagoda in Pyay on 4 October 2022.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by his wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, and party, the chief minister of Bago Region and the Southern Command commander, paid homage to Shwesandaw Pagoda in Pyay yesterday evening.
The Senior General and party were welcomed by the Shwesandaw Pagoda Board of Trustees U Soe Win and party. Then, they paid homage to Hnee Pagoda (woven with bamboo strips) and offered water, flowers and oil lights to the Buddha image. Next, he observed the historical museum of the Shwesandaw Pagoda and gave instructions to officials of the museum on the maintenance and renovation in systematic ways.
Afterwards, the Senior General and party also paid homage to Shwesandaw Pagoda and went round the pagoda clockwise. And he gave advice on the preservation of ancient cultural works.
The Senior General tolled the great bell in the precinct of Shwesandaw Pagoda. Then, he signed in the visitors’ book of the Shwesandaw Pagoda and presented a cash donation to members of the Shwesandaw Pagoda Board of Trustees. — MNA
