Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Mr Wang Ning, Secretary of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee of the People’s Republic of China, at the Credentials Hall of the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
At the meeting, they cordially discussed peace and stability in the border region of both countries, cooperation in further promotion of bilateral relations, cooperation in bilateral development between Myanmar and Yunnan Province, cooperation in the development of electric power, agriculture, livestock breeding, industrial, border trade and tourism sectors in Myanmar, enhancement of exchange of culture between the two countries and healthcare services, and plans to operate direct flight between Myanmar and Yunnan Province.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Secretary of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee of the People’s Republic of China exchanged gifts and had documentary photos taken.
Also present at the meeting were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing and officials. The Secretary of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee of the People’s Republic of China was accompanied by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chen Hai and officials. — MNA/TTA
