SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on inspection tour of Naypyitaw State Academy, Naypyitaw State Polytechnic University

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo and council members, Union ministers and officials, yesterday morning inspected Naypyitaw State Academy and Naypyitaw State Polytechnic University in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.
At Naypyitaw State Academy, the Senior General inspected the thriving of trees planted in the 2024 first monsoon tree-growing ceremony on the university campus and the construction of the convocation hall and lecture halls and gave guidance to officials on the beautification of the university campus for students to learn education happily and peacefully.
On arrival at Naypyitaw State Polytechnic University, the Senior General viewed the thriving trees grown in the 2024 second monsoon tree-growing ceremony, the progress of construction tasks, and the construction of a stadium and gave guidance to officials.
The Senior General and party proceeded to Nay Pyi Taw Budh Gaya Thatta Thattaha Maha Bodhi Pagoda. The Senior General paid homage to the Buddha image in the pagoda with flowers and water and presented a cash donation for the overall renovation of the pagoda to an official. After visiting the booth of documentary photos on the journey of the Lord Buddha in the Majjima region, the Senior General beat the Peace Bell.
The Senior General visited Mucalinda Lake and Nagayon Pagoda, Isipatana Migadawunna forest, where the Lord Buddha preached the first-ever Dhamma, and the sal forest, where the Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinibbana. He inspected the halls for members of the Sangha and the communal religious hall. In response to the reports of officials, the Senior General instructed them to clean bushes in the precinct of the pagoda, always carry out beautification tasks, systematically maintain the pagoda and other buildings for long-term existence, emphasize sanitation at the halls for members of the Sangha and systematically repair the ceiling and floor of the communal religious hall.
The Senior General offered flowers, water and lights to the Buddha Image in the Waziradhamma Zawtika ordination hall of Wazira Nandathubawdayon Monastery and paid homage to the abbot Sayadaw. After asking teaching student monks and the requirements of the monastery, the SAC Chairman donated alms and cash as nine prerequisites to the abbot Sayadaw. — MNA/TTA
