SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives China’s Special Envoy for Asian Affairs

State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Mr Deng Xijun at the parlour of the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
They cordially discussed the holding of peace talks with ethnic armed organization to ensure peace in border and interior areas, the participation of China in peace processes, bilateral cooperation in combatting drugs, the facility to streamline the bilateral trade and border peace, enhancement of bilateral relations and cooperation, further cooperation in economic growth and various sectors between the two countries, political situation of Myanmar, international cooperation and regional peace and stability.
Also present at the meeting were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and officials. The Special Envoy was accompanied by officials of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar. —MNA/KTZH
