SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla offer day meals to title recipient Sayadaws

Chairman of the State Administration Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla offered day meals to religious title recipient Sayadaws for 2022 at the Sasana Beikman building in the precinct of Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The ceremony was also attended by title recipient Sayadaws and nuns, SAC members, Union ministers and officials.
Before the ceremony, the Senior General offered alms, fruits, flowers, water and oil lights to the Buddha image in the Sasana Beikman building.
The Senior General and wife donated offerings to Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Presiding Nayaka of Mandalay’s Bhamo Monastery Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhammajotika Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa. SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe offered alms to Secretary of SSMNC Presiding Nayaka of Thanlyin’s Minkyaung Pahtamabyan Buddhist Learning Centre Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa.
The wife of the Senior General and the wife of the Vice-Senior General donated alms and day meals to religious title recipient nuns.
Later, the Thanlyin Minkyaung Sayadaw delivered a sermon, followed by sharing merits gained. — MNA
