SAC member Daw Dwe Bu, Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung meets religious leaders, ethnic literature and cultural organizations in Myitkyina

The meeting between the SAC member, the Union minister and religious leaders and ethnic literature and cultural organizations is in progress yesterday.

State Administration Council Member Daw Dwe Bu accompanied by Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, the Kachin State chief minister and officials met religious leaders from all branches of Christianity in Myitkyina Township of Kachin State yesterday.
During the meeting, SAC Member Daw Dwe Bu urged the leaders to pray for peace and tranquillity of the country and prosperity and work together for the development of the country.
Then, the SAC member and party provided cash to various churches.
They also paid homage to Myitkyina Township Sangha Nayaka Committee Chairman Sayadaw and monks at Antawshin Monastery in Myitkyina and donated rice, cooking oil, offertories and cash to Sayadaw and paid homage to Antawshin Pagoda.
They then met with officials of 14 ethnic literature and culture organizations at Manaw house in the Manaw compound of Myitkyina.
During the meeting, the SAC member highlighted the efforts of SAC for the ethnic people and the need to cooperate in literature and cultural affairs and work together with the government for State peace and tranquillity.
Officials then provided K300,000 to each of the 14 ethnic literature and cultural organizations after the remarks of Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung and the Kachin State chief minister.
At noon, the SAC member attended the public meeting held at Myitkyina City Hall and underscored the implementation works of SAC as per the five-point roadmap and 12 objectives for the State’s stability and tranquillity, security and socioeconomic development of the public.
The meeting came to an end after a discussion with residents and a remark from Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung. — MNA/KTZH
