SAC members attend financial support, foodstuffs providing ceremony to Mocha victims in Lewe Tsp

The ceremony was held to provide cash and foodstuffs to the Mocha-affected people who took shelter at the Thirimingala Hall in Lewe Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, yesterday morning.
State Administration Council Members Khun San Lwin and U Shwe Kyein, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin, Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Brig-Gen Wai Lin, NPT council members, the Deputy Mayor of Nay Pyi Taw City Development Committee and departmental personnel, the chairmen and members of the district and township administration bodies, and Mocha victims from Aungmyingon Village and TadaU Village attended the ceremony.
At first, SAC Member U Shwe Kyein said that food donations would be made to 255 households affected by the cyclone in TadaU and Aungmyingon Village in Kantha Village-Tract, Lewe Township, on behalf of Palaung, Danu, Kokang, and Wa self-administered zones in Shan State.
Next, NPT Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin said that committees were established to properly rehabilitate the villages that were damaged by the cyclone in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, and the foodstuffs and cash assistance donated by the SAC, the ministries, and well-wishers are being documented to ensure that there is no wastage. He also expressed his gratitude to the self-administered zones for contributing to the donations.
Then, SAC members and the Deputy Director-General of the Central Bank of Myanmar handed over the foodstuffs donated by the self-administered zones and K4,218,700 donated by the CBM Governor, deputy governors and officials to storm victims. On behalf of the households affected by the disaster, the chairman and officials of the Lewe Township Administration Body received the supplies, and a resident of the Mocha-hit village gave a word of thanks.
After that, SAC members and officials greeted the people affected by Cyclone Mocha and gave words of encouragement.
A sum of K4.2187 million and rice and edible oil worth K9.2 million were given to 255 households affected by the disaster. — Tun Tun Win (IPRD)/CT
