SAC members, Union ministers meet internally displaced persons, provide basic foodstuffs in Kayah State

The SAC members and Union ministers provide foodstuffs to internally displaced persons in Kayah State yesterday.

The State Administration Council members and Union ministers yesterday arrived at Loikaw Airport by Tatmadaw flight to attend the 71st Anniversary of Kayah State Day, which will take place on 15 January.
They were welcomed by Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, Commander of Eastern Command Maj-Gen Hla Moe, Kayah State ministers, the advocate-general, departmental officials with the performance of Kayah traditional dance troupes and students of the training school for ethnic youths in border areas.
First, SAC members Saw Daniel, U Sai Lon Seng and U Shwe Kyein, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and U Saw Tun Aung Myint, Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, Eastern Command Commander Maj-Gen Hla Moe, Deputy Ministers Dr Aung Zeya and Dr Aye Tun and other relevant officials went to Christ The King Church in Loikaw Township and cordially comforted the internally displaced persons. They also provided basic foodstuffs to them.
Then, the SAC members and party paid homage to Presiding Sayadaw Bhaddanta Jinobhasa of Uttarayon Monastery and donated offertories.
They also met with the internally displaced persons at the monastery and provided basic foodstuff.
The Kayah State government will organize the 71st Anniversary of Kayah State Day on 15 January. The event will include an opening ceremony of the archway to Kayah State Day at City Hall, a message reading session and an honorary title conferring ceremony in addition to the opening ceremony of U Thiri asphalt concrete road and Minkyaung tar road, a 400 metres synthetic track at the Kayah State Stadium and departmental booths. —MNA/KTZH
