SAC members, Union ministers open 400-metre synthetic running track, fitness gym to mark 71st Kayah State Day

State Administration Council Members Saw Daniel, U Sai Lon Seng, U Shwe Kyein, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and U Saw Tun Aung Myint, Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, Eastern Command Commander Maj-Gen Hla Moe, Deputy Ministers Dr Aung Zeya and Dr Aye Tun and officials opened the 400-metre synthetic running track and fitness training gymnasium at the state stadium in Loikaw yesterday to commemorate the 71st Kayah State Day which takes place on 15 January.
First, Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin delivered an opening speech on the health and fitness of local youths in Kayah State, high education and development of talents, raising the standard of athletics and bringing forth a new generation of athletes.
At the township, district, and state levels, officials are working to enable young players to compete in ASEAN competitions and international competitions, the chief minister said.
He said that the state government is fulfilling local development activities from all aspects, so the sports sector will also be developed. It will be necessary to maintain the high-level stadium with a 400-metre synthetic runway, he added.
Then the 400-metre synthetic track was inaugurated by State Administration Council members, Union ministers and the state chief minister by cutting the ribbon.
They took group photos with departmental officials, ethnic traditional cultural troupes and athletes and inspected the 400-metre track and the stadium.
Afterwards, flower dance and fitness dance demonstrations were performed by students. State Administration Council members and the chief minister gave awards to award-winning athletes and dance troupes.
Next, SAC Member Saw Daniel, Union Minister U Saw Tun Aung Myint and Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin cut the ribbon to open the physical fitness training gymnasium.
