SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win attends cash donation for Mocha-hit monasteries, monastic education schools in Rakhine State

A ceremony to donate cash to the fund for damaged monasteries and monastic education schools hit by Cyclone Mocha in Rakhine State took place in the cave of Lawkananda Pagoda in Sittway yesterday morning.
Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win offered alms to Presiding Patron of Nanda Rama Pariyatti Buddhist Learning Centre Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Ganthavacaka Pandita Sayadaw Bhaddanta Nanda Siri.
Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan donated K106 million for Mocha-hit monasteries and monastic education schools to Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin.
Sittway’s TatU Sutaungpyae Pariyatti Buddhist Learning Centre Presiding Patron Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Agga Maha Ganthavacaka Pandita Sayadaw Ñanavamsa delivered a sermon, followed by sharing of merits gained.
At the ceremony, YwaU Monastery Sayadaw Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Vijjobhasa Lankara of Paunglaunglay Village in Kyaukse Township donated K2 million, U Wai Chin Hai and family of Hanley Group from Laukkai of Shan State (North) K100 million and U Sithu Win and family of Guardian Academy Private School K 4 million respectively. — MNA/TTA
