Sagaing Region monitors ten types of commodities

The Sagaing Regional Consumer Affairs Committee is monitoring ten types of commodities within the region, according to the committee’s business coordination meeting held in March 2024.
In the meeting, it was decided to continue monitoring these ten prioritized commodities during the 2024-2025 financial year after reviewing the monitoring process for these commodities from the 2022-2024 financial year.
During the meeting, Sagaing Region Consumer Affairs Committee Chairman and Regional Economic Affairs Minister Daw Yi Yi Than emphasized the need for the committee to implement consumer protection activities. This includes raising consumer awareness about their rights, how to file complaints for physical and emotional losses to receive settlements, and conducting educational activities related to the department’s regulations, rules, and procedures. — TWA/TKO
