A New Year Eve prayer ceremony participated by Sanghas and Buddhists from 12 countries started on 11 p.m. 31 December in Sanam Luang, Bangkok, Thailand.
The prayer ceremony was attended by 16 Sayadaws from Myanmar, led by State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Chairman Sayadaw Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa, Tipitaka Sayadaws, State/Region Sangha Nayaka Sayadaws totaling 31 Sanghas and 26 laypersons led by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko along with Sayadaws from 12 countries, Thailand minister for culture and officials.
The New Year’s Eve Chanting & Meditation for Happiness in 2019 was held in Sanam Luang Pavilion, Thailand by Sanghas and Buddhists from 12 countries.
