Schoolchildren get COVID-19 jabs in Kyaikto Township

Covid immunization is underway in Kyaikto Township.

In collaboration with the township administration body, Department of Health and Department of Public Education, officials gave COVID-19 vaccines to students studying at 158 schools in Kyaikto Township, who are over the ages of 12 and under the ages of 18 to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The vaccination works were carried out at seven designated places in the township from 17 to 21 October.
The remaining students were vaccinated on 26 October at No. 1 Basic Education High School, No. 2 Basic Education High School and Basic Education High School (Theinzayat) separately.
The students were vaccinated with the permission of their parents or guardians.
Other infected students were screened for the COVID-19 virus as vaccination works were systematically conducted by health workers. — Win Maung (Kyaikto) /GNLM
