Science Festival 2023 continues its second day

The Science Festival 2023 jointly conducted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and ROSATOM of Russian Federation continued its second day at Yangon Technological University and Nuclear Technology Information Centre yesterday.
First, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, Deputy Minister Dr Aung Zeya and party watched the powerpoint presentations of students from 11 groups for HackAtom competition regarding their created applications and websites to inform their findings within 24 hours in power generation using nuclear technology and knowledge on peaceful use such as Nuclear Medicine at the Yangon Technological University.
The joint judge team comprising of professors of Ministry of Science and Technology and National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) judged the presentations and Deputy Minister Dr Aung Zeya and Director Mr Andrey Belyakov of international cooperation department of ROSATOM presented first, second and third prizes to three teams.
About 500 students from basic education high schools, technological university and University of Computer Studies joined the HackAtom competition.
The talk shows included Overview on the Nuclear Industry Development in Myanmar by Division of Atomic Energy, Nuclear Energy Development from Antiquity to the Present Days by Russian nuclear expert and Low-carbon Energy Source by undergraduate student of YTU Mechanical Engineering Department.
Moreover, the Union Minister and party proceeded to Nuclear Technology Information Centre and cordially greeted the students who participated in second day of the festival.
About 400 students and supervisors from Dagon BEHS-1 and Ahlon BEHS-4 joined the event. They made nuclear technology and science practicals at Nuclear Sprint Zone, Chronograph Zone, Jenga in Physics Zone and Master Class and participated in quiz games.
