Myanmar women’s football team will take on the Philippines women’s team in the Group A opener of the SEA Games women’s football event at Army Stadium, Phnom Penh, Cambodia today.
The match will start at 7:30 pm Myanmar Standard Time, and Cambodian media will be broadcast live free on social media, the Myanmar Football Federation stated.
The pre-match press conference was held at Phnom Penh Hotel yesterday, and Group A participants including team Myanmar attended the event.
At the press conference, Myanmar head coach Uki Tetsuro said, “The time spent handling the Myanmar team as the new head coach was short. During this period, the players and management teams tried their best to cooperate”.
“My team is in a very competitive group, so we will try our best to compete. I have prepared two points for my team. To regain the self-confidence of the team members and make good use of our team’s strengths is a must. We will try to compete with the best,” he commented. — KZL
