Second-day peace talk between NSPNC, RCSS continues

The second and concluding day of the peace talk between the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee and the Restoration Council of Shan State in progress yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee-NSPNC and representatives from the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) continued the second day of peace talk at the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre in Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday.
The meeting was attended by Lt-Gen Min Naing, the secretary of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee and members and the Secretary 1 of RCSS Sao Sai Ngin, Central Executive Committee members Sao Saung Han and Sao Um Khe and Central Steering Committee members Sao Sai Han and Sao Sai Lyan.
In the meeting, the parties carried on the conversation started on the first day of negotiations including arrangements for holding a peace convention and other general issues. They then signed a document that recorded the agreements reached during the two-day talk.
Then, Lt-Gen Min Naing, secretary of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee and RCSS Secretary 1 Sao Sai Ngin made their closing remarks before exchanging presents between the parties. — MNA/TH
