A gala ceremony to build Vijayabhumi Nimmana land of victory in front of Maravijaya Buddha Image took place in conjunction with the launching of Saddadhipati Bell in the precinct of the Buddha image yesterday morning.
Leading donor of the Buddha image Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing placed pieces of jewellery on the land of victory. Just then, the master of ceremonies recited Pathavijaya Gatha and the paper on auspicious occasion. The Senior General put soils from seven holy places in Budh Gaya of India and from lands of victory of 35 eminent pagodas across the nation into Vijayabhumi Nimmana land of victory.
The Senior General and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla beat Saddadhipati Bell nine times.
SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe also beat the bell.
The bell, weighing 738 visses, is five feet high, 4 feet and one inch wide of the bell mouth donated by the Senior General, wife and family. — MNA/TTA
