Yesterday afternoon at Bayint Naung Guesthouse, Nay Pyi Taw, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Tatmadaw officers and troops who participated in International Army Games 2018.
Present at the event were Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Kyaw Swe, Lt-Gen Sein Win, Lt-Gen Ye Aung, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, high ranking officers from Commander-in-Chief Office, Nay Pyi Taw Command Commander, International Army Games-2018 participants Myanmar Tatmadaw tank force, Myanmar Tatmadaw medical team, Myanmar Tatmadaw sniper team, Myanmar Tatmadaw military band and Myanmar Tatmadaw band troupe.
In his address, the Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief said Tatmadaw personnel were sent to compete in international military competition to gain experience, and in order to participate competitively, requirements were fulfilled as much as possible and trainings were conducted in advance. Through taking part in military competition, full trainings will be conducted and fighting capabilities increased. This is the first time our Tatmadaw participated in a military competition and there’ll be some difficulties, but our Tatmadaw is recognized and honored for competing on par with other militaries. All are urged to achieve better successes in future competitions, said the Senior General.
Next, participants who participated in International Army Games 2018 explained about their experiences in the competition.
The event attendees were then treated with tea, according to news issued from the Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Office. — MNA
