Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Australian Ambassador

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, received Australian Ambassador to Myanmar Nicholas Coppel at Bayint Naung Guesthouse in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning. During the meeting, they discussed matters related to bilateral cooperation in defence services between the armed forces of the two countries, and efforts to build the Standard Army, efforts made by the government and the Tatmadaw to achieve eternal peace, the implementation of the peace process with assistance from Australia, and the situation in Buthidaung and Maungtaw in Rakhine State.
The Senior General and the Australian Ambassador exchanged views on the development process in Myanmar with the assistance of Australia.
