Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Chinese ambassador

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing  received Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Yang Houlan, who is leaving Myanmar on completion of his tour of duty, at Zeyarthiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.
Also present were Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and senior officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and Chinese Military Attaché Senior Colonel Wang
Jinbo.
At the meeting, the senior general said that relations between the two countries have flourished without any major problems although the relations were troubled by problems caused by some individuals and organizations in border areas and urged the ambassador to implement ways and means for border management peacefully in accordance with the law.
The ambassador said that relations between the two countries will remain steady despite changing international and local affairs, adding that China wishes for stability in northern Myanmar. The Chinese government contacted Phone Kyar Shin and urged him to stop military operations and solve the problems through political means, the ambassador said. The two neighbours were able to solve the problems in time, the ambassador added, before saying that China supports the peace process of Myanmar as armed conflicts are not beneficial either country.
