Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party who are in Russian Federation visited Myanmar Theravada Buddha Vihara monastery yesterday morning.
At first, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and party pay homage to Buddha image in the monastery and Sitagu Sayadaw Ashin Nannissara who was in Russian Federation to propagate Buddhism.
Sitagu Sayadaw spoke of matters need to be done for the long term sustenance of Myanmar Theravada Buddha Vihara monastery in Moscow and the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services explained about the status of donation toward the long term sustenance of the monastery.
Next, Sitagu Sayadaw and Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services inspected the site in the monastery compound where a Dhammayone (Congregation Hall) will be built, monastery expansion works conducted, construction of a Shwezigon Pagoda replica in the compound of the cultures of the world museum compound and status of constructing a Bagan era Dhammasetkya Mudra
Budha image and discussed religious matters.
Afterwards, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services donated Waso Robe and offertories to Sitagu Sayadaw and Tatmadaw senior officers donated Waso Robe to the Sanghas.
Later, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services donated cash to monastery trustee and offered day ‘soon’ (lunch) to Sitagu Sayadaw and Sanghas. Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services then inspected the expansion site of the monastery according to the Facebook of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
