Senior General receives Thai Army Chief

Defence Services Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Royal Thai Army Commander-in-Chief General Chalermchai Sitthisad yesterday morning at Zeyar Thiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw.
Also present at the meeting were Defence Services Deputy Commander-in-Chief Commander-in-Chief (Army)
Vice-Senior General Soe Win, General Mya Tun Oo, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air), high-ranking officers from the Commander-in-Chief’s Office, General Singhasak Uthaimongkol, Head of Neighbouring Countries Coordinator Centre (Royal Thai Army) and high-ranking officers of Royal Thai Army Forces and Senior Colonel Apichart Choopavang, Thai Military Attaché (Army) (Royal Thai Army) to Myanmar.
During the meeting, they discussed matters related to continuation of sports, cultural and medical co-operation. They also discussed exchange of information for effective co-operation in the fight against religious extremists and terrorism in the borders areas between the two countries. They also discussed matters concerning co-operation in prevention of forest fires, afforestation and treading firmly on the path of peace process on the part of indigenous armed groups in Myanmar.—Myanmar News Agency
