SG Min Aung Hlaing attends 70th Anniversary of Myanmar Air Force

70th Anniversary of Myanmar Air Force and inauguration of new aircrafts into the force was held yesterday morning at flight training base in Meiktila where Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended wearing an Air Force uniform in honor of the Air Force.
First, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Khin Aung Myint explained about the inauguration of new aircrafts into the force.
Next, Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief delivered a speech saying wars occurring in the world nowadays can be seen as un-balanced wars where air power is gaining in importance. Using the advantage of better air power, opponents were overwhelmed and controlled while air operations were seen to be used primarily. That is why our Air Force needs to be modernized in order to increase its air power said the Senior General.
Afterwards Chief of Staff (Air) Maj-Gen Maung Maung Kyaw announced the inauguration of new aircrafts into the force after which Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was presented with new aircraft inauguration commemorative gift by Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Khin Aung Myint.
The aircrafts and helicopters then conducted a demonstration fly-by and aerobatic display by squadron.
Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief and party released 70 birds as merit making and then inspected the inaugurated aircrafts while sprinkling the aircrafts with scented water.
Myanmar Air Force 70th Anniversary exhibition opening ceremony was held later in the day in Meiktila cantonment flight training headquarter with the cutting ribbon by the Senior General and wife.
