Italian passion fruits grown in Shan State’s Taunggyi have received orders from Yangon and Mandalay and the trading has been fine.
Italian passion fruits grown in Myanmar are one of the most-consumed fruits and they are mainly used by fresh juice shops.
“They are Italian species and grown in Myanmar. We can say it local fruit as well. The trading is good. Passion fruits produced from Taunggyi are being placed orders mainly from Yangon and Mandalay. The market will be better when this monsoon ends. Many people enjoy passion fruits and they are mainly used by fresh juice shops. Passion fruit juice can make people feel fresh and provide Vitamin C,” said a passion fruit trader from Taunggyi.
In last year, packs of passion fruit puree were sold well in Taunggyi.
