Shan United beat Rakhine United to lead MNL table

Defending Champion Shan United defeated Rakhine United FC in their Week 17 match of the Myanmar National League at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon yesterday.
The win ensures Shan United sits atop the Myanmar National League table with no loss record.
The whole match was dominated by the Shan team with a speedy pass and counter-attack.
Shan United got an icebreaker at 28 minutes and the goal was beautifully scored by Ye Min Thu at 28 minutes.
After garnering the goal, Shan players were eager to grab more chances.
Shan United star player Sithu Aung scored the winning goal or second goal at 44 minute-mark.
Shan led the first half 2-0.
The second half saw a better performance of Rakhine United but they could not convert their creations into goals.
Shan United defenders and goalkeepers were wise enough to block all the opponent’s attacks till the final whistle and two goals were enough for Shan United to celebrate their victory at Thuwunna Stadium. — GNLM
