Shinhan Bank celebrates handover ceremony of school facility construction, renovation in Hlegu Township

Shinhan Bank of the Republic of Korea held  a handover ceremony of school facilities which were newly built and renovated in two villages in Hlegu Township, about 45 km northeast of Yangon, on Friday.
During the ceremony, the bank also presented sets of computers, school uniforms and school bags to students through officials.
Last year, Shinhan Bank injected USD 80,000 into a plan to build new school facilities and renovate old buildings for two primary schools in Kha Yaung and Sa Khan Gyi villages in the township.  The plan was a part of the Hlegu Rural Development Project being implemented by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
“The bank’s cash contribution to the plan came from a fund of retired bank staff who have donated $10 for many years, said an official of Shinhan Bank.
