A ceremony to mark the start of shooting for a new TV series titled ‘Khaung’, directed by Kyaw Za, was held at the Kyaikkasan Pagoda on 5 September, according to the series’ scriptwriter Phoe Kyaw (Thanlyin).
Shwe Pyatthat writes the story for the series, which Shwe Pyatthat Production will produce. “Ko Kyaw Za approached me to write a story about the importance of family. Think of it as a house with a leaky roof: if you don’t fix it, the problem will only get worse. This story explores the challenges that arise when family bonds weaken and offers solutions for strengthening them,” Phoe Kyaw (Thanlyin) said.
This new series will feature actors and actresses such as Nay San, Su Hlaing Hnin, Shwe Bon Than Thar, Paing Sitt Hmue, Zay Yatu, Htin Linn Aung, Kyel Sin Linn Htoo, Phone Myat Min Thant, Win Myaing, Han Sett Lu, Theingi Myint, Ma Zin, Aung Pyae Shan, Thu Kha, Treasure as a special guest, and the Ko Lu Chaw group. The shooting of the 20-episode series will take place in Yangon starting on 11 September. — TWA/TRKM
