Short stories against gender-based violence to be sent by 20 November

To remark the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence, the short story contest, to combat violence against women and to achieve effective law-making, will be held and the stories must be sent by 20 November through [email protected] or to the address < No 7A, Thiri Myaing 3rd Street, Ward 13, Hline Township, Yangon. The objectives behind this contest are to reduce the violence against women, educate the public about gender-based violence, urge the officials to take strict legal actions under the existing law, and enact the effective legislation to protect women.
The 16-day Campaign against Gender-Based Violence is an international one to eliminate violence against women and girls. The campaign started in 1991. It runs every year from 25 November to 10 December. The awareness campaign shares through social media and community debates.
The winners will get awarded K300,000 for the first prize, K250,000 for the second prize, K150,000 for the third prize, and K100,000 for consolation prizes respectively.
