Shwedagon to hold Buddha Pujaniya festivals during Buddhist Lent

The Buddha Pujaniya festivals are planned to celebrate at Shwedagon Pagoda during the Buddhist Lent, according to the Pagoda Board of Trustees.
The Dhammacakka Day ceremony, the Waso-robe offering ceremony will be celebrated on 1 August (the full moon day of second Waso) and the Metta Day ceremony and offering ceremony with 84,000 miscellaneous flowers will be held on 31 August (Wagaung full moon day). In addition, the Garu Dhamma Day on 29 September (Tawthalin full moon day), the lighting festival on 28 October (the day before Thadingyut full moon day) and the Abhidhamma Day ceremony on 29 October (Thadingyut full moon day) will be organized.
Similarly, it is also planned for the pilgrims to take the Sabbath from Shwedagon Ovadacariya Sayadaws between the full moon day of second Waso and Thadingyut full moon day on every Sabbath day. — TWA/MKKS
