Shwedagon to hold its 2611th Buddha Pujaniya Tabaung festival

The 2611th Buddha Pujaniya Tabaung festival will be held at Shwedagon Pagoda for ten days from 14 February to 5 March, according to the Pagoda Board of Trustees.
At 8 am on 24 February, 28 Buddha statues will be conveyed onto the pagoda platform for public obeisance. At 9 am, the Maha Pathana recitation by the monks from various monasteries will start.
In addition, the rice-offering ceremony to invited monks including Ovadacariya Sayadaws will be held on the evening of 4 March and the successful completion of Maha Pathana recitation will be celebrated on the morning of 5 March (the full moon day of Tabaung). – TWA/MKKS
